In a nutshell, Online Presence is everything about your business online. This includes your website, branding, profiles, reviews, and the like. Having a solid online presence helps convert visitors into customers.
Branding for Online Presence:
- Do you have a logo?
- Logos are a great way to put an image to your brand. If you have one, make sure it’s correct on your site.
- Do you have business cards? Flyers? Brochures?
- This increases your professionalism.
- Do you have a professional email?
- A professional email is the format like “hello@yourdomain.com”. Ours is “team@blueshiftwebservices.com”.
Website:
- Is your logo correct?
- Is your site SEO optimized?

- Is your site crawled by google?
- This is important to your site ranking on search engines. If Google doesn’t know it exists, then it won’t be listed.
- Do you have Google Analytics on your site? Google Search Console?
- What about Bing Webmaster Tools?
- Do you link to all of your main social media profiles?
- Is it mobile friendly?
- Is your website up to date?
- If you use WordPress, you need to update your site and plugins regularly. Just like you would for a phone.

- Is it connected to Google Analytics?
- Is Call Tracking set up?
- Do you have your keywords optimized?
- Is your ads completely filled out?
- There are many things you can add to your ads to make them better for converting. Site links, price extensions and more.
SEO for Online Presence
- Is your NAP consistent? NAP is Name, Address and Phone Number. These are the three most vital pieces of information about your business on the internet. Ensure that all mentions of your business show the correct NAP.

- Directory Listings (Like Yelp!)

- Does your pages have Page Titles and Meta data?
- Does your images have alt tags?
- Do you have an internal linking system?
- Do you have a blog?
- This is the best tool for SEO.
- Do you have a Sitemap? Be sure to submit it to the search engines.
- Are your images, CSS, and JS files compressed?
- Do you have SSL? Invest in one today, especially if you have an e-commerce store.
- Do you have any 404 errors? Fix them.
- Do you have a favicon?
Profiles
- Do you have a listing/profile on the following:
- Google My Business
- Bing
- Yelp
- Youtube
- Chamber of Commerce (If you’re a member)
- Do they have the correct NAP?
- Do they have the correct Logo?
- Do they have the entire profile filled out?
- A completely filled out profile boosts your ability to be found on the platform.
- Do they link back to your site and other social medias?
- Do you have a set schedule for posting?
- Consistency is key to building a following. Set up a schedule and schedule posts in advance.
Reviews + Testimonials!
- Be sure to respond to all reviews and testimonials! Good or Bad, but most importantly bad!
- Copy your best testimonials to your site!
