You should research what keywords and phrases to use with Google\u2019s Keyword Planner. This tool will give you insight into which keywords have high search popularity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With keyphrases it\u2019s important to have the keyword at least 5 times throughout the text of the page. You want to make sure they are in the introduction paragraph, meta description, at least\u00a0 3 subheadings, title, and slug.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Length<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are several things that you\u2019ll want to make sure are the correct length. This includes the keyphrase itself, the text, the meta description, and the title width.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The text should be no less than 500 words. You should strive for around 800-1,200 words though.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meta description is an important part of SEO because it\u2019s what shows in Google underneath your page. It should be 20-25 words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The title width should be no more than 600px wide.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Technical SEO<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are quite a few things on the technical side that you should do as well. While we\u2019ve already mentioned meta descriptions and slugs, you should also pay attention to \u201calt\u201d tags on images. This gives you more places to use your keyphrase. You should also be linking both internally to your own site and externally to other sites for credibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019ll also want to make sure your site is built correctly. This involves using proper heading tags, alt tags, and link building.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Other Great Things<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other things you should definitely be doing is placing your posts in categories, tagging them, and providing images throughout the post as well as setting a featured image.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ideally, you should be placing a relevant image every 150 words or so. You should also always place a featured image on your posts to ensure optimal sharibility on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Tools<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some wonderful tools that you can use to make sure your SEO is up to par are Yoast SEO, Google\u2019s Keyword Planner, and Google Search Console.
